It’s debatable if she should be classified as an actor, seller, or streamer. But for “Guitar – Phromphon Phrommaphirom,” this was the first time she “knew it”—that is, she had come to terms with her desire to be a singer.
After school, Guitar performed live as a DJ on the Talk Talk platform when she was thirteen years old. Her income had grown from 500–1,000 baht to 100,000 baht by the time she was 15 or 16. She even rose at four in the morning to broadcast live whenever she could in an effort to gain followers.
As a DJ, she began interacting with her audience in a number of ways, including singing. When she was sixteen, she started to cover songs by her favorite artists, which she would then post on her YouTube channel, Guiitarima. Because of this, she gained a reputation as a girl who enjoyed covering well-known songs.
I was able to earn hundreds of thousands of baht a month when I first started live broadcasting on social media. When I was sixteen, the Talk Talk platform shut down. I was able to grow my following as other platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok gained popularity. “My viewership has increased from hundreds on Talk Talk to thousands with these new channels,” she confidently stated.
Guitar uses Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok to interact with her followers and document her daily activities. She also narrates short film summaries that she has seen and performs covers of popular songs. Her fans are now able to see past her vocals thanks to this.
Guitar has been asked to give a motivational speech to students at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University’s Faculty of Management Sciences because of her popularity as a streamer. This illustrates how successful she is at producing content for online platforms.
Between the ages of 16 and 17, Guitar experienced significant upheavals in her life. After struggling in several singing competitions and settling a family business issue, she was forced to transfer schools. After attending a series casting and struggling to fit in, she decided to focus on her acting career. As a result, she changed from being a young girl with curly hair to looking more mature.
I chose to enter the Miss Teen Thailand pageant wearing this look because the show was never re-recorded, and I finished in the top 50. I think that what set me apart from the other competitors was my unique personality. “The competition helped me get started as an actress in commercial casting, even though I didn’t win,” she said.
“I feel more confident with my curly hair than with my straight hair because I don’t feel like I have to follow trends,” Guitar continued. With my curly hair, I can be myself, as I naturally look.
Guitar landed her first acting role in the horror film “Who Haunted Forest” (2020), costarring in a supporting role alongside Naek-Charlie Trairat, thanks to her participation in Miss Teen Thailand. Because of their shared love of music, guitar helped Naek-Charlie’s hip-hop song “Maeng Wan” fulfill her dream of becoming a vocalist.
When Guitar’s focus shifted to performing and the pageant world between the ages of 18 and 19, she entered the business world due to her own skin issues. She used a family-secret Thai herbal mixture to start the business Maertar. Due in part to Guitar’s promotion of the products through her streaming channels, the company, which sells a variety of goods, experienced a notable increase in sales on e-commerce platforms.
Guitar was determined to become a singer. She had the chance to spend several years studying at a record label, but she decided to leave the trainee position due to the COVID-19 pandemic and opportunities in acting and advertising. As she waited for the release of her debut song, she instead managed her skincare line, continued her acting career, and pursued a career as a freelance artist.
Despite having a successful skincare business and performing jobs, Guitar faced language barriers that compelled her to look for language classes in England at the age of 20. “During my almost year-long stay in England, I developed as a person. In London, I met music producers who introduced me to a wide range of musical styles, and there are plenty of opportunities there. The woman added, “I also started writing lyrics inspired by my experiences there at that time.”
“Look Peach The Voice” helped her refine the song, “Ben (benlussboy)” produced it, and her lyrics inspired her to write her first hit, “Knew It.”
“Knew It” was inspired by her personal experiences with love and heartbreak while she was living in England. The song expresses her fear of being hurt again as a result of previous betrayals. The guitar clarified
The song’s message is about allowing love to enter your life while being afraid of getting hurt. It’s about attempting to love while fearing disappointment. Sometimes I felt numb and believed that
Any new romance would end like that. I was afraid to start over, but I wanted love.
This R&B song combines English and Thai lyrics. Because the song’s melody and lyrics truly reflect who I am, I chose to release it on my own YouTube channel as my debut single as an independent artist.
Even though “Knew It” is an R&B song, which is her favorite genre, the guitar’s appearance reminds us of many Diva vocalists. She believes that two incredible diva vocalists are Celine Dion and Whitney Houston. But in terms of life and fashion, she does admire Rihanna as an artist. She would like to collaborate with Thai artists Palmy Eve Pancharoen and Da Endorphine.
Guitar explained that she released “Knew It” as her debut single because she is not restricted by a record label and can create music that authentically expresses who she is. She decided that this song would be perfect for her debut after speaking with a music producer. But she doesn’t only listen to R&B. She hinted that she might look into rock music or Diva-inspired songs in the future.
“What has brought me this far is my ability to speak,” Guitar stated confidently. Her ability to communicate effectively is demonstrated by the variety of content she offers on her guiitarima account across multiple platforms, which has led to the creation of income and the growth of her business. Guitar’s versatility as a performer enhances her appeal.
People’s memories of me vary; some see me as a streamer, some as a movie critic, some as a hawker, some as an entertainer, and some as a singer. These are the colors of artists, in my opinion. I believe that being an artist is about creating art, and art is limitless. The same is true of music. Although I love R&B, I want to listen to other genres as well. As long as I can entertain the audience, I believe I can be an artist of any kind.
As she states, “I think I got to this point because I’m good at speaking,” Guitar exudes confidence. Her excitement and confidence were evident throughout the conversation. When asked about the future, she compared her journey to Whitney Houston’s song “I Have Nothing.”
She explained, “I had nothing five years ago, and now I have something.” I want to leave a lasting impression on people. I want to be remembered as an iconic figure that people will never forget, regardless of how they remember me.
When asked which career she would prioritize—singing, streaming, or selling—Guitar responded, “For singing, I see it as a job that brings happiness to both me and my listeners because I want to be a creator of happiness.” In terms of starting my own business, I see it as a way to provide for my family and expand into other ventures that will also excite my fans.
